One of the uses of your donations is AAFES Gift of Choice cards.  Troops are given the cards at their deployment to tuck in their pocket and then use it on personal items at the base stores when they get to their “theatre of operations.”  Troops are required to bring their own personal items when they are deployed.  Often these gift cards help to provide the items that were forgotten or help make the transition a little easier.
